Trivets
Takes the pan straight from the stove. No hesitation, no folded towel.
- Face-grain cherry with cork feet
- 8 by 8 inches
- Finished with a heat-tolerant hardwax oil
From the Kitchen Series. Unnumbered, and sold only until the series closes.
$65
A trivet in a square of cherry, worked and finished by hand.
The piece that finishes the set. It takes the heat off the table and looks like it belongs there.
Built for heat
Sized for a pot or a pan straight from the stove or the oven. Give screaming-hot cast iron a moment to come off the boil first, and keep it off open flame.
Face grain
Cherry strips joined edge to edge and shown face up, so the full figure of the wood reads across the top.
The pattern
The series pattern, cut shallow into the face. The same lines the serving boards carry in walnut, here left unfilled in the cherry.
Cork feet
Cork pads underneath. They lift the trivet so heat and air pass beneath it, grip the counter, and take the scratch instead of your table.
Northeastern wood
Grown in the hardwood forests of the Northeast. Cut, planed, and finished here in Maine.
Kitchen Series 2026
The bottom carries the mark: Maine Object Company, Kitchen Series 2026. Made only while the edition is open.
